Emma Nissim – Super Socks
If you feel that you are not ready for all those colorful stripes, dots or crazy doodles in your socks, but you still want to look stylish and original, Emma Nissim, a London fashion designer with a family business, brings her new collection of what she calls “Super Socks”. From blue stripes with bike prints and grey with penny farthing prints to black with duck prints, these eco-friendly babies are made from soft bamboo wood pulp making them anti-bacterial and breathable.
Emma says “The fabric is what is always important to us. As well as having a selection of great colours, and being good quality, they need be eco-friendly and ethically sourced. The bamboo is super soft making them breathable and anti-bacterial. They are a ‘feel-good’ gift product, they make people happy.”
Each pair is hand printed with a range of unique and fun designs, so you won’t find anything like them out there.
When I asked her where does she finds the inspiration to create these designs, she said: “My inspiration are the fun prints that tell different stories making them great stocking fillers and best sellers for Christmas. It originated from printing onto underwear for men and women such as hot pants and boxer shorts, but these turned out to be the most popular”.
Prices are £8 per pair or £20 for a set of three. Really affordable!
